1. How will my prepared down teeth be protected until I receive my bridge?
After the tooth is prepped, there will be a temporary bridge made and cemented with a temporary cement.
2. Will there be any sensitivity after the bridges are placed in the mouth?
There may be some sensitivity after the bridge is placed, but if that sensitivity does not go away in a couple of weeks, contact your dentist to take look at the bridge again.
3. Will a fixed bridge look good?
A fixed bridge will look as esthetic as possible, dependent on the space avaliable, but for the most part it will look like crowns and another person will not know that you had a missing tooth under the bridge.
4. How well will I be able to chew with a fixed bridge?
You should be able to chew like it is your natural tooth.
5. How successful are fixed bridges?
Bridges are very successful, the reason they fail is usually because of bad hygiene. Patients need to understand that you still need to floss under the bridge and keep it clean like your natural teeth.
