An Interview With Dr. Harry A Karna, DDS A Qualified Dentist In Riverside

1. Can implants be used to anchor single crowns and bridges?

Yes, Implants can be used to anchor single crowns and bridges.

2. What role does the dental technician play?

The dental technician is the person who makes the crowns or bridges.

3. Will the Dental Bridge Change How I Speak?

No, the Dental Bridge will not change the way you speak. It will be as if it is your natural teeth.

4. What is the tooth crowning procedure?

The tooth is reduced by being shaved down, an impression is taken and sent to the lab to have the crown/bridge fabricated. In the meantime you will have a temporary crown on to hold the space open, which will not damage the tooth structure. When the crown returns it will be cemented on with permanent cement.

5. Is the crowning procedure painful?

No, as you will have local anesthetic the crowning procedure will not be painful.

6. Can I take my bridge out and clean it?

No, as it is cemented with permanent cement you cannot take the bridge out. You will need to use floss threaders to floss underneath the bridge. Floss threaders look like a needle to take the floss on both sides of the bridge.
